Bomariba ward MCA aspirant Thomas Nyamote has insisted that he is still in the race.
He has refuted claims by opponents that he had dropped his interest for the Bomariba ward MCA seat in 2017 polls.
Speaking on phone on Monday evening, Nyamote noted that his silence does not mean he has dropped his interest.
"I want to put it very clear to the people of Bomariba ward that I am still in the MCA race in 2017. Information doing rounds that I have withdrawn from the race is false. This are my opponents who have sensed defeat. My silence is my strategy to unseat the current MCA Protus Moindi who has failed to deliver to the people," he noted.
The St Dabrias Preparatory school director added that he is not afraid of anybody and under no circumstances will he be persuaded with cheap money to withdraw from the race.
"Some people are asking me to drop my interest. The answer remains 'NO'. I want to bring quality leadership to the people of Bomariba," he stated.
He accused the current MCA Protus Moindi for failing to repair interior roads in the ward he should have completed to ease transportation in the region.
