Journalist turned politician David Makali has said he is still Labour Party of Kenya Secretary General.
Makali said the decision to kick him out of the party was orchestrated by a “kangaroo national executive council.”
He said he is the official spokesman of the party.
“Three or four people can’t (purport) to remove a party secretary general without a notice, agenda, complaint or reason or due process. That was a kangaroo NEC. Check with the registrar (of parties) and you’ll find the status quo. I don’t serve at anyone's whims and any illegalities designed to embarrass me and other bona fide officials will be swiftly thwarted,” he told the Nation.
Makali has also dismissed party leader Ababu Namwamba’s remarks that they will announce their preferred presidential candidate this Saturday.
He said he was not aware of any resolution by LPK’s preferred presidential aspirant.
