Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has said that no other county boss beats him in terms of initiating projects.

The county boss, who was speaking during the Machakos Gubernatorial debate on Sunday, July 16, said that he stands out from the rest of the lawmakers.

The legislator pointed out that he constructed five highways, set up a stadium and dug over 100 dams in his backyard among others projects.

The county boss also said that he deserves another term in office in order to complete the projects he started.

“I want you to tell me a governor who has built five highways in his county just like in Machakos. I want to know a governor who has built a quality stadium in his county just like the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Tell me a governor who has dug more than 100 dams in this four-year-period if not Mutua?” said the governor, as quoted by Nation.

The governor will be locking horns with Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti and Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala.

The lawmaker has exuded confidence that he will retain his post since his records will attract the electorate to back his re-election.
