Kabete Parliamentary seat aspirant Ferdinand Waititu has asked residents to support his candidature saying he is the only one who knows their problems and is ready to address them.
Speaking as he traversed the constituency yesterday, Waititu said that he will spearhead development if elected as the area's lawmaker.
The Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) aspirant said that he will work tirelessly to promote the interests and welfare of Kabete people.
“I want to assure you (residents) that I have your interests at heart,” he said.
Waititu said he is ready to change the politics of Kiambu and help unite area leaders towards development.
The aspirant at the same time lashed out at those questioning his candidature saying that they are afraid of his influence.
Waititu said that he was nominated by the people and that he is not ready to please anyone.
“We will square out equally with them, there is nothing or anyone to fear about,” he added.
The former Kabete MP said that time has come for change and that Kabete people must embrace change. He vowed to continue with the projects that were left by former MP George Muchai if elected.
The Kabete seat was left vacant following the brutal killing of George Muchai who was the area legislator.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEB) set May 4 as the by election date.
