The National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga says he is very disappointed with the former US secretary of state, John Kerry.
According to Raila, Kerry who is heading the Carter Centre observer mission in the Kenyan elections, is not understanding what Nasa is worried about.
Raila said Nasa has no problem with the voting exercise, that was conducted on Tuesday, or tallying of votes at the polling stations, but rather, the tallying process at the national tallying centre, by top IEBC leadership.
This is after Kerry and several other observer groups such as Commonwealth, Comesa and European Union, said IEBC conducted free, fair and credible election process.
"My problem is not the voting and polling exercise at the polling centres. We have no issue with that, in fact the exercise was very credible. My problem is the tallying and transmission of election results from the polling stations," Raila told CNN, an international media organisation.
“I think that the observers have not helped Kenyans resolve this dispute, they have confounded it by giving basically an approval to a fairly flawed process - and therefore I am very disappointed with John Kerry and the other observers,” Raila added.
In an interview, Thursday, Odinga said Nasa did not want violence in the country, but a free and fair polls, and further appealed to his supporters to remain calm.
Kerry had earlier told CNN that all the nine international observer groups agreed that the process of carrying out the elections was “quite positive”.
