Outspoken Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has hit at Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko and the whole police force demanding an explanation why opposition leader Raila Odinga is still a free man despite incitement charges being leveled against him.
While speaking in Kikuyu constituency, Kuria said that it was not in any line of fairness for Tobiko to be puffing on Senator Sonko's head pushing for prosecution after the senator declared himself acting president of the state, while Odinga had not been questioned over the alleged incitement utterances he made in Narok.
The ODM leader is alleged to have asked the Narok community to arm themselves with spears and rungus if the electoral body commissioners refused to vacate office.
"...Na kama polisi wameshindwa kushika Raila kwa sababu kuna watu tayari wameandika malalamiko, mimi nitakuja kuchukua vijana tumshike Raila tumdunge (unprintable words) tumweke ndani..." Kuria said.
His words loosely translate to:
" And if the police are not in a position to arrest Raila following the already complaints from several individuals, I will personally come and pick some youth, arrest Raila and hand him over to the police."
