Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has lashed out at critics over allegations of lack of university education.
With specific reference to Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Waititu said that the governor was engaging in sideshows than doing what he was elected for.
"He keeps on saying that I don't know how to express myself in English. Are there any votes that am asking from him in English? Kiambu people are interested in services and development not good orators", said Waititu.
On Wednesday, Kabogo speaking in Thika town accused some 'fake graduates' of starting early campaigns in an effort to win the Kiambu gubernatorial seat in the 2017 elections.
"President Obama was here last week and we listened to all the English we wanted. The governor should know why he was elected and stop engaging in sideshows," Waititu said.
The legislator accused Kabogo of nothing to improve the road networks in the county. He said that given the opportunity to be Kiambu governor he would do a better job.
"Ndeiya-Kamirithu road is like a shamba and that is how many roads are in the county despite we having a county government," he said.
Waititu was speaking at Kamirithu in Limuru on Saturday during a burial service of a local businessman.
During the run-up to the 2013 elections Waititu was accused of producing degree certificate that had a different English name from what appeared in his passport. He was however cleared to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat after satisfying all the requirements.
