Miguna said his deportation to Canada won't dampen his spirit to fight against the Jubilee administration which he described as despotic.

"Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison fighting against Apartheid. Oliver Thambo was the ANC President for most of that period. He was based in London, Dar-es-Salaam and Lusaka. As the NRM Kenya General, I don't have to b physically in Nairobi 24/7 to fight the despots," Miguna said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Miguna was deported to Canada recently where he holds his other citizenship.

On February 12, he filed a case at the High Court in Nairobi challenging his deportation to Canada and revocation of his citizenship by the government.

He wants the court to suspend the government declaration that he was not a Kenyan and that his presence in Kenya was "contrary to the national interest and should be removed from Kenya to his country of origin Canada."

The outspoken opposition lawyer also wants the court to grant an order suspending the gazette notice proscribing the National Resistance Movement (NRM) which he claims to lead as a criminal organisation.
