Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has once again put on notice corrupt county employees, saying his administration would not tolerate corruption, incompetence and excesses.
Speaking on Thursday at the Machakos Youth Centre where he presided over a one-day senior staff workshop to discuss the Machakos development agenda, Mutua insisted that he was committed to ending corruption in Machakos and increasing efficiency and productivity in service delivery.
"As a leader, my philosophy has been and remains that our people must come first. Therefore I have put lazy, lethargic and corrupt officials on notice. I don't tolerate graft and plunder of public resources," he said.
"I will not be blackmailed by people who do not want to be part of my dream team. This is the work ethic with which I am delivering the Maendeleo Chap Chap dream," he added.
