According to Odinga he could support Kalonzo to vie for the presidential seat in 2017 if he could have been elected to be the president in last general election 2013 to run the government and since that never happen he can’t support Kalonzo.

Speaking on Sunday night during the interview that was conducted on Citizen TV, Raila Odinga said Cord coalition will still remain together even if he can’t leave one of his co-principals to be the flagbearer.

“I know according to the agreement we signed between I and Kalonzo was that in 2017 I will support him in the presidential race but that was subject to me being elected in 2013 to run the government,” noted Odinga.

“I was to run the government for 5 years then support Kalonzo but because of frustrations that prompted me not to be elected then I will vie for the same since I have not run the government but Cord remains intact,” added Odinga.
