Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has ruled out joining the newly formed Jubilee Party.
Mudavadi said he won’t work with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, who are the key principals in the Jubilee outfit.
The former Deputy Prime Minister however revealed that he is working with Cord leader Raila Odinga at a policy level, according to the Star.
"Once bitten, twice shy. In any case, Jubilee has closed their stable until after 2032,” Mudavadi said.
He said he is open to working with Raila, and has held discussions with the former Prime Minister recently.
"There are no permanent enemies in politics," he said on working with Raila.
This comes barely a week after Raila hinted at backing another candidate for the country’s top job come 2017.
Raila said he is willing to drop his presidential ambitions in case he realises his bid will not make Cord to beat Jubilee in the polls.
The ODM leader said Jubilee administration must be removed from power in 2017 for Kenyans to enjoy the fruits of democracy.
In October last year, Raila asked Mudavadi to rejoin the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), but he declined.
