Former Vice President and Ukambani political guru Kalonzo Musyoka has said the time to get rid of the gentleman tag is now.
Speaking to delegates in Nairobi, Kalonzo said people take advantage of his cool and diplomatic approach to issues but he will have to change tact as the battle of clinching NASA ticket intensifies.
Musyoka also stated that any agreement reached among the opposition coalition partners should be written to avoid future conflicts. This tough talk is a result of an alleged agreement between Musyoka’s Wiper and Raila’s ODM not being honored.
The former vice president and the entire Kamba community believe that it is time for Raila to endorse Musyoka something that Odinga supporters dispute.
The pressure on Kalonzo to force an endorsement seems to overwhelm him. His party and community is forcing him to demand the honoring of 2013 MOU.
This has made the Wiper party leader to give some public statements that threaten to split NASA.
This decision by Musyoka will force opposition to convene another crisis meeting. The supporters and Jubilee are also impatient with its delay tactics.
Musalia Mudavadi who has been the mediator now has more work to do. He has to make sure that his idea survives till August 8.
