Kigumo Member of Parliament Jamleck Kamau has refuted claims that he met the former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka.
Reports indicate the Jubilee legislator supposedly met the Wiper leader on Monday and even drove him to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with the aim of enticing him to join President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.
Speaking to a local news site by phone, Tuesday, Kamau denied neither interacting with the National Super Alliance (Nasa) co-principal nor giving him a ride to the airport.
The lawmaker further noted that those those alleging he met Kalonzo are just bitter with him.
“I am shocked by this kind of romours being spread. I have not met Kalonzo in months if not a year and I have no reason to meet him. I was campaigning for Uhuru reelection and I am headed to Kiambu for the same. So anyone trying to drag me in the mud just have a lot of time and bitterness in their hands,” Kamau is quoted by the local site.
“Furthermore anyone in their right sense knows that by virtue of being a former VP, Kalonzo has official drivers and as an MP I have mine, so it is impossible for me to drive him under any circumstances,” Kamau added.
