Speaking at Githunguri Township Primary School on Saturday during a prize giving day event, Kabogo said that there was no by-election for the governor's seat and that Waititu should just concentrate on the MP seat.

“Mr Waititu is going round saying that we schooled together at Punjab university. I never saw him there and in fact I am looking for him so that I can ask him what was the name of the Dean of Student or even the Principal,” Kabogo said.

Kabogo went ahead and said that with Waititu entering the Kiambu politics, it has not ‘for even a second’ caused given him jitters.

"I actually do not fear him and I am ready to face him anytime. If the people of Kabete want him to be their MP, so be it. I am not afraid of him at all. I have fought many political battles and I have won all of them,” Kabogo said.

The governor also said that those individuals who were politicising the issue of business permits fees did not have the interest of the county in mind.

“All they want is to make this county look bad. All the counties have raised their fees and we wonder why it is only in Kiambu that they are complaining of it. There is no county that can run smoothly without charging taxes. If the people of Kiambu want the levies to be lowered they should go ahead and participate in the public forums so that they can have their grievances listened to,” Kabogo said.
