Jubilee's acting Mombasa chairman Matano Chengo has issuing a 72-hour ultimatum to President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold urgent talks with Coast leaders.
Matano Chengo claimed the accusations were as a result of being misquoted from a case of "serious miscommunication".
He said he is "too small" to threaten the President.
He said that together with other Jubilee chairmen from the six Coast counties, all he wants is for the president to listen to them.
Chengo said that if 72 hours elapse without a word from the president, the group shall travel to Nairobi to "beg" to have audience with the State House.
The chairman added that they want to inform the president that there are no grassroots campaigns in the coastal region as he and DP William Ruto have been told and that it is "brokers" who are interfering with Jubilee activities.
“Our concern is that nothing is happening on the ground. Let Uhuru not be cheated that campaigns are ongoing. This is something all the six chairmen noticed and raised," he stated.
He plans to also tell the president that they have been locked out of party affairs and that candidates in the Coast are merely interested in money at the expense of victory.
“When these aspirants go to Nairobi, all they request is money,” he said as reported by The Star.
