Speaking on Monday, the Starehe lawmaker said its unbelievable for him to be linked with hiring Munguki since he doesn't even know them.

"I don't own goons and I cannot even hire them. What we see CORD doing every Monday is illegal and against court order but we can't use violence to fight back. Two wrongs never make a right,'' said Kamanda.

He and Moses Kuria of Gatundu South were accused by the CORD brigade of planning to halt the weekly protests by hiring the Mungiki sect.

The two are among five MPs who have gone to court to sue CORD leaders for their protests. The others include Kimani Ichung'wa (Kikuyu), Alice Ng'ang'a (Thika) and Ferdinand Waitutu (Kabete). They allege that traders have lost millions of shillings through looting, vandalism and closure of businesses every Monday.
