President Uhuru Kenyatta has dismissed claims that he is working closely with IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba to rig elections in his favour.
A determined opposition has maintained that it will not go for an election with Chiloba in office, maintaining that he is working with Jubilee.
But at Kakamega on Sunday, Uhuru said he has only met Chiloba once, when he was been sworn in to take over after James Oswago.
“I hear them talking of Chiloba yet I have never met him for a meeting. I usually see him of TV just like any of you.
“I have no reason to rig elections yet we have a good will of people. These people are not ready for an election and that is now crystal clear,” he said, adding that he was sure of another landslide win.
Alongside Chiloba, the opposition team wants Dubai based printing company, Al Ghurair to be stripped off printing contract.
IEBC has set October 26 as the date for repeat poll but the opposition team maintains that their conditions ought to be fulfilled before the election.
