Mombasa Women Representative Mishi Mboko has said she does not need favours from the ODM leadership to clinch the party ticket for the Likoni Parliamentary seat. The outspoken MP who will face off with a newcomer, Hamisi Domoko, for the coveted ticket during the party's Saturday nominations, has vowed to floor her opponent in a fair contest.Mboko, a close ally of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who is also the ODM deputy party leader, is considered a key member of the Raila Odinga camp. And to reward her loyalty, rumours had it that she would be given a direct ticket to take on Masoud Mwahima in the August contest. However, the lawmaker has since dismissed the direct nomination statement and has instead asked the party to provide a level playing field for all aspirants.Mboko said she will support her opponent should he beat her in the nominations. If she negotiates her way past the tricky nominations, she will face off with the incumbent Mwahima, ANC's Bernard Waore and former area MP and Cabinet Minister Suleiman Shakombo of Wiper Party.
