Governor William Kabogo now says that he does not need the support and blessing of Jubilee Party to win re-election in the August 8 general election.Kabogo says that he only needs the support of Kiambu people to retain his seat.Speaking in Kiambu on Sunday, Kabogo said that locals have confidence in his leadership and will 100 percent endorse his bid.“Kiambu people believe in my leadership and will endorse my re-election with 100 per cent votes,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.Kabogo who speak in relation to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s call for six-piece voting said that his re-election is based on the development track record his government has made.He asked residents no to be misled by politicians he said are only after power and wealth.Kabogo lost the Jubilee Party ticket to Ferdinand Waititu in the party nomination.He is, however, seeking re-election as an independent candidate.On Sunday during a tour of Kiambu, President Uhuru Kenyatta called for six-piece voting pattern.He asked residents to vote all Jubilee aspirants eyeing for various seats.
