A tough speaking President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday accused opposition leader Raila Odinga of ‘spreading’ propaganda over his relationship with Gusii community.
For a couple of days now, Uhuru is facing criticism from Gusii community following his public rebuke on Supreme Court judges under the leadership of David Maraga.
And Kimilili however, Uhuru shocked locals when he claimed that he will still win presidency without the backing of Gusii people.
“They are now saying that when I attack Maraga, I am targeting Gusii people. Want to assure them that I will still win even without their support.
“I will not remain tight lipped over impunity. We all know that the judges were working under instructions and we cannot remain silent forever. Truth is important than votes,” Uhuru added.
Thousands of Gusii people in Kisii and Nyamira towns thronged into streets accusing Uhuru of allegedly sabotaging Maraga, a Kisii by birth.
During the August 8 elections, Uhuru managed to improve exponentially compared to 2013 outing by scooping a 52 percent of votes in Nyamira.
