Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Ababu Namwamba has said he does not miss his former party and will win without its backing.
Speaking on a local television channel, Namwamba confirmed that Labour Party of Kenya is a home free from intimidation and manipulation. Ababu said he is the one who took ODM to Budalangi and disputed the notion that Odinga's party introduced him to Budalangi electorates.
According to former Prime Minister’s loyal supporter, politics change and he now supports Jubilee. Namwamba said that the fact that Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi are working with Raila Odinga gives him the moral consent to withdraw his fanatical support for his political mentor. He however said the decision to back President Uhuru was not personal but a party position.
The Budalangi Member of Parliament also said he is sure of a win in the next general elections. He said he does not need ODM to win because his development record is exemplary. Namwamba pointed out improved quality of education, road network, cultural center and controlled floods among other projects as his stellar performance.
ODM’s X-general confirmed that he has a gun full of bullets after leaving ODM. He also said he does not need Odinga’s endorsement to make it to the next parliament. Ababu stated his eagerness to disappoint those who are waiting for his downfall on August 8.
