Likoni MPMasoud Mwahima has said he does not and will never have any regrets over his move to get out of the CORD coalition.
On Wednesday, Masoud came out to trash reports published in one of the Kenyan dailies that he has suffered regrets over his decision to work with the ruling Jubilee coalition.
Speaking to his constituents in Likoni area, Mwahima expressed his satisfaction that he is comfortable being in the ruling coalition, citing that baseless allegations from the CORD coalition will never have any effect on him.
He noted that it is fair for a legislator to work with the government in place so as to ensure the people he or she is representing get developments. The legislator went further to assure his people that he will work by his manifesto to make Likoni a better place to live.
However, Masoud has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the local newspaper to retract and apologize for publishing false information against him, saying that it was misleading and meant to tarnish his name. He hinted that failure by the daily newspaper company to withdraw the publication, then he will have to head to the courts to launch a case of defamation.
