Foreign Affairs CAS Ababu Namwamba on Monday reaffirmed he was never going to contest for the parliamentary seat.
Addressing Budalangi constituents during church service at Pentecostal Church in Budalangi, Namwamba maintained that going back to National Assembly as Member of Parliament was not his priority.
Namwamba was responding to the current Budalangi MP RaphaelWanjala after the two clashed at the famous Sigiri Bridge following disagreements on who should spearhead the construction and official launching of the bridge.
“I want to tell Raphael Wanjala that I am not interested in vying for the Parliamentary Seat. I have no plans to rival him come 2022. So let him not fear,” said Namwamba.
Namwamba added that he had planned to open up to Wanjala and the people of Budalangi about his political future before Wanjala and some goons started to riot at Sigiri.
Constituents of Budalangi slammed Namwamba for not respecting the current MP claiming that all development projects should be spearheaded by the current Member of Parliament.
The construction of Sigiri Bridge was opened up by President Uhuru Kenyatta while Namwamba was the area MP before he lost to Raphael Wanjala in 2017 August 8th Election.
