Speaking at Ciampiu trading centre in Mwingi North during a fundraiser in aid of Tharaka Girls’ Secondary School, Munuve urged Governor Malombe to consider the idea of joining the winning team, which is Jubilee in his case, before the next general elections.

According to Munuve, Malombe is in a catch and he has to make a wise decision before it is too late for him.

Munuve pointed out that there are signs that Malombe will be rigged out during nominations and he has no reason to stay behind when there is room for him in Jubilee Party.

“I read the early signs that all will not be well and I left Wiper. I am now comfortably in Tuko Pamoja [JP] and fear for those I left behind,” Munuve said, as quoted by the Star.

His sentiments were backed by several leaders from the region including Tharaka MCA Samuel Ikunga (Wiper), former chairman of the defunct Mwingi County Council Philip Kabui and Mwingi North Wiper executive officer Titus Kitheka.

Governor Malombe’s wife Edith Mawia also attended the fundraiser as a chief guest.
