Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has rubbished claims that he has been working with Mungiki sect in Nakuru to harass people.
Kinuthia said that he has led the war on all organised criminal networks not only in Nakuru but all over Kenya.
Speaking in Nakuru on Friday, Kinuthia said he does not in any way sympathise with the sect.
“I am an expert in security matters and I was among the people who supported a bill that prohibited all unlawful gangs,” Kinuthia said.
The governor said as the head of security organ has fought outlawed gangs head on.
“I am an expert also in organised criminal gangs. In fact I am a consultant on matters to do with criminal gangs. I cannot associate with criminal outfits,” Kinuthia said.
The Nakuru Chief executive officer said he has nothing to benefit from criminal activities as his political future is all bright.
