Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has dismissed threats by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, that Cord would write to the International Criminal Court (ICC), after he allegedly issued inciting remarks against Kenyans of Kamba community.
An audio clip on social media, believed to be of his voice, was asking youth to evict Kambas from the Constituency, before the August 8, polls and prevent them from registering as voters.
Kalonzo threatened that Cord would not hesitate to use ICC to take action against Duale, if clashes erupt in Garissa or Ukambani region.
However speaking a day later during the funeral service of the late nominated MP Mark Too, the National Assembly Majority Leader said he had gone to the Hague-based Court almost over 39 times and does not fear it.
"I have gone to ICC almost over 39 times. I know ICC in and out. I know the lawyers, I know the prosecutors. So you can not threaten us with the ICC,'' Duale said in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County, Monday.
He dismissed the audio clip, saying the voice in the clip was not his. He said it was recorded by a 'bygone' era politician with intentions to cook stories and stain his political career for selfish reasons and political propaganda.
