Nassir who met youths in a talent show ‘Mombasa got talent’ held at the ‘Swahilipot- hub’ a technology and art center based in Mombasa, said that he has youth matters at heart and especially those in Mvita Constituency.
Nassir said that he will explore all the opportunities available to make sure youth engage in development activities and directly benefit from them.
He said that by engaging youth in environmental programs, skills development programs, security programs and small-scale businesses most youth will deter from vices in the society.
The Mvita legislature said that he was working towards a better 2018 for the youth calling upon the youth to walk together with him in the development agenda path.
“I have engaged the youth directly in all my activities in the last 5 years of my service as the Mvita legislature, I will work extra hard in the next five years as am looking forward to changing the whole of Mombasa county,” he said.
Nassir has already laid down his strategy to vie for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat in the 2022 general elections.
“By enabling youth to acquire skills in managing their business as well as financial skills so that they do not waste their hard-earned finances, we will have achieved our ultimate goal of fighting poverty among the youth” he added.
The Mvita legislature is well known for his ‘Skills mtaani’ program where youth in Mvita Constituency are registered to skills development training programs and later assisted to start and manage their own businesses.
He appealed to the youth in Mombasa to focus on changing their lives, develop their talents and work towards changing the whole society.
