Deputy President William Ruto has said he has never longed to vote like he did this time.

Speaking moments after casting his vote in his Turbo constituency, the deputy president reiterated that the democratic space in this country is so open and people can be allowed to do what they want in terms of voting.

He added that those who will not vote should respect the rights of those who are not going to vote.

He congratulated his Sugoi residents for turning up in their numbers to vote.

"Kenya should be so democratic that everyone should respect the will of the majority," said the DP.

He went on and told residents that he is looking forward to getting back to work fully and develop this country.
