Siaya Senator James Orengo has said he is ready to represent Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter in court.
Orengo also rubbished off claims that he had earlier on refused to represent the lawmaker.
"I believe in democracy and am a champion of human rights. I dont have a problem with representing anyone in court," he said.
Mr Orengo told off those spreading word that he refused to represent Mr Keter to stop spreading rumours.
According to him their were no enemies on legal matters.
After his arrest, Keter wrote to the senator requesting him to represent him in court.
Mr Keter was arraigned in court on Monday morning for allegedly presenting forged Treasury Bills amounting to Ksh.634 million to the Central Bank of Kenya seeking payment.
Others charged alongside him include Arthur Ingolo Sakwa and Madat Suburali Chatur.
The law maker was arrested on Friday and he has since mantained that he was set up.
