Funyula MP Paul Otuoma who recently left the ODM party has said he has no problem working with President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the August election.Otuoma expressed disappointment with the Orange party claiming some senior party members rigged him out of the recently concluded Busia County ODM nominations for the position of governor.During the primaries, Governor Sospeter Ojaamong defeated him with over 90,000 votes.“I have no problem meeting and working with President Uhuru,” he said during an interview at a local radio station on Wednesday.“Some people have been spreading propaganda that I met the president. But what is wrong with that? Am I supposed to run away when I see him?” he asked. The radio presenter had tasked the lawmaker to shade light on photos which recently circulated on social media showing him receive Uhuru at the Kisumu International Airport during the president’s recent visit to Kisumu. There has been speculation that Otuoma is warming up supporting Uhuru’s re-election bid during the August polls after breaking ranks with ODM.On Friday last week, Otuoma wrote a letter to ODM officially quitting the party as a member. He claimed there was no democracy in ODM.He will contest for the position of governor, Busia County as an independent candidate.
