Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has said he does not regret being a member in the Omogusii unity movement.
Speaking at Nyataro Primary school in Bomachoge Chache Constituency during a fund drive on Monday organised to support the infrastructure of the School, Tong'i said that the members of the unity movement do not represent personal interests as claimed by opponents.
"As a unity movement, we are not after fulfilling personal interests as claimed by opponents. Kisii locals should know the unity group is to ensure Gusii region is represented well in the National government and the counties. Through the unity group, as leaders we are achieving development projects such as holding fundraisers to support our schools to improve on infrastructure," said Tong'i.
He urged local leaders who are opposing the unity group to form their own group to compete with them on ideologies instead of spreading propaganda.
