Onyonka who decamped from ODM to Ford Kenya said he will retain his seat without a doubt since his competitors ODM's Samuel Omwando and Jubilee's Anthony Kibagendi are not serious contenders.
"My candidature is strong and I will beat my rivals who are weak and can't withstand my impact in the constituency politics," said Onyonka.
IEBC stopped the elections of the Kitutu Chache South MP in the August 8 polls after the death of Jubilee party candidate Leonard Mwamba in a road accident at Nyakoe on the Kisii-Kisumu road on July 14.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati in a gazette notice ordered Jubilee party to submit the name of its preferred candidate by September 7 and September 8.
Jubilee settled for Antony Kibagendi who defected from ODM after he lost in the ODM nominations where Samuel Omwando won.
The official campaigns are slated to start from September 7 to November 5.
