Duale, Garissa Township MP, has termed the claims as baseless, and aimed at bringing him down political before the elections date.

Earlier, his greatest opponent had taken to social media and tweeted:  “Duale gave a list of returning officers and presiding officers to the IEBC. Same officers rigged [for] him in 2013. Not this time.”

Duale has, however, come out and rubbished the claims leveled against him by Maalim as the race to the constituency seat becomes tougher.

“I want to assure him that I will beat him by a huge margin, numbers don’t lie. I am planning the stage for his political graveyard,” he said, as quoted by Star.

The National Assembly leader, who has been a stronger supporter of the jubilee administration added:  “The more than 53,000 registered voters are my votes.

He has no votes. His votes are in Lagdera. How do I rig my own votes?” His remarks were reiterated by Garissa county elections’ board coordinator Saadi Noor who has also rubbished Maalims claims.
