A woman has pleaded guilty to killing her husband.
Esther Adapali, 25, admitted before a Nakuru court that she killed her husband Joseph Nyachoboli on November 12 last year after a confrontation at their home in Athinai, Rongai Sub County.
Adapali said trouble started when her man came home drunk and when she asked money to seek medication for their sick child, the hubby turned violent and started abusing her.
She said the man picked a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her.
As she struggled with him defending herself, the knife fell down. She got an opportunity to floor the man, picked the knife and stabbed him in the chest.
He bled profusely and became motionless.
The suspect then raised alarm where neighbours came and rushed him to hospital.
Adapali later surrendered to police.
The court will rule on the case in June 13.
