A woman, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, has hit the headlines after she reportedly lost her bid for the women rep after a photo of her and President Uhuru Kenyatta surfaced online, reports Nairobi news.
As many Kenyans long to take photos with the head of state the woman, who is said to have been contesting for Amani National Congress (ANC) ticket is cursing the day she met president Kenyatta and regretting why she was quick to take a photo with him. The woman is heard claiming: “Uhuru Kenyatta made me lose the ANC primaries. Now I’ve been left an orphan.”
She went on: “ Maskini hatakikani kuonana na wewe. Uhuru Kenyatta nisaidie. Uhuru Kenyatta na Ruto nisaidieni. Nimwekuwa sumu kwa watu; hawakutambui wewe ni president Uhuru Kenyatta .” However, the local daily is yet to authenticate the woman’s claims.
This is not the first time politicians have given strange reasons for losing in an election. Meanwhile, a Member of the County Assembly who stripped naked in support of Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga was sent home after being floored during the nominations.
