An MP allied to the ruling Jubilee administration has revealed why he presently admires Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's style of leadership.
Kimani Ichung'wa who is Kikuyu MP and a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday said Joho has transformed the healthcare system in Mombasa calling on other governors to emulate the fire spitting county chief who doubles as ODM deputy party leader.
"I recently visited Mombasa and I just fell in love with what Joho is doing," the MP said while speaking during a political talk show on Radio Jambo on Saturday.
"The man has done tremendous work in transforming Mombasa's healthcare sector and this is what I would like all governors to emulate," he said.
"Expectant mothers have nothing to worry because maternity wards in various hospitals have been upgraded and everything seems to be running smoothly. That is what we want Devolution to achieve, not corruption."
Joho since last year has been busy luring foreign investors to Mombasa with specific focus being investment in the health sector.
Among hospitals that have so far been upgraded include the Coast Provincial General Hospital and Shika Adabu Level 4 Hospital among others.
The county chief recently jetted back into the country after spending close to three months in Europe and Asia luring more investors to come to Mombasa.
