The father of four set his business in Mwembe Tayari, Kisii, in 2008 after he dropped several job applications without success.

His desperation for a hustle landed him into the mutura business where he makes Sh40,000 per month now.

He says that he started his business with Sh3000 which he raised from friends and family.

"I wake up very early in the morning and go to the slaughterhouse to buy what is needed for my business. After that I will get to my butchery and prepare it before 4 pm," he said.

According to Nyabuto, he makes Sh10 profit for every Sh20 piece of mutura sold.

"I now make more money than I would make if employed. My business has enabled me to support my kids in good private schools and pay all bills in time," he said.

However, he has undergone various challenges including raising the capital needed to set his business and harassment from the county council askaris.

"Don't wait for employment! Just keep doing what will give you clean money and remember education is just a key to life. I love my job and I cannot quit," he concluded.
