Uasin Gishu County governor Jackson Mandago has rubbished claims that his government had mismanaged public funds.

This followed allegations from a section of politicians in the County, who claimed the County government under Mandago's leadership, had misappropriated Sh4.5 billion.

During a burial ceremony in Kuinet, he said every cent had been channeled to the intended projects as the Constitution demands. 

"It is absurd for a whole scholar to say this. If we lose Sh4.5 billion, everyone will notice it. In fact, activities in this County will stop,'' he said.
