Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura has declared he only needs seven days of campaign to retain his seat in the forthcoming general elections.
The lawmaker who has been at loggerheads with his Orange party over his perceived closeness with the Jubilee Party says he has no doubt he will retain his seat despite the many accusations leveled against him.
According to Obura, his good development record in the constituency speaks for itself and that winning the seat in 2017 is not worrying him.
"I know some of my colleagues are only bothered by my development projects. I will continue to serve my people," he said.
The legislator was also quick to dismiss the notion that he has bad blood with the Raila Odinga-led ODM party.
Obura was among the opposition MPs who attended the famous Jubilee rally at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru recently.
