Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga on Thursday publicly criticised an MP who recently ditched his party for Jubilee.
The former Prime Minister took a swipe at Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi for going behind his back by joining his rivals Jubilee administration.
He said that he lifted Aburi from a humble political background but the legislator later decided to abandon him.
"I raised Aburi from a mere councillor until he became an MP. Later he told me he wants to be in Jubilee because it has support here," he recounted.
The Cord leader wondered why did the MP decided to move from ODM yet he had survived the Jubilee wave in 2013 polls.
"When he was elected, the people knew he was in ODM. Now he has moved to Uhuru because of personal interests," Raila said.
Apuri is among ten elected leaders who were recently expelled from ODM after they ditched the party. Others included former Secretary General Ababu Namwamba, Sirisia MP John Walukhe and nominated MP Isaac Mwaura among others.
