President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he has no issues with controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna and he respects him.
Kenyatta was speaking on Thursday when he led a function to issue title deeds to Nairobi residents at Embakasi.
He was responding to remarks made by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko concerning his move to appoint Miguna the Nairobi Deputy Governor.
"Rais usitishe na Miguna Miguna, hiyo ni watu yako walikuwa wamenisumbua sana," Sonko said.
When he rose to speak, Kenyatta said he respects everyone but does not fear anyone.
"Na Sonko amesema hapa ati nisitishwe na Miguna, I want to tell him and all of you. I don't fear Miguna or anyone but I respect him and everyone else," Kenyatta said.
Sonko caused a stir when he appointed Miguna Miguna his deputy amid his citizenship crisis.
The state has argued that Miguna denounced his citizenship and must reapply to be allowed into the country.
