Speaking in Busia, where he had gone for a vote hunt mission, Uhuru said that he takes the former prime minister as his brother.

The head of State also said that he has good intentions for the Cord leader, adding that he will take care of him once he retires from the political arena after defeating him in August.

“Given the respect I have for Raila Odinga, I have already rolled out a retirement plan for him. I have set aside bodyguards who will protect him at his home in Bondo, a pension scheme for him… all that, we have worked out. Because Raila is my elder brother, I want him to live a dignified life.

“About power-sharing in government, he should forget,” said President Kenyatta, as quoted by the eDaily.

The President and Raila has been launching attacks against each over different issues as they both seek power in August. The leader of the opposition has been blaming Uhuru for failing to keep his pre-election promises only to run with goodies a few months to the general elections.
