Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reached out and begged Kitui Senator David Musila to return to the party and work with him ahead of the August 8 general election and the 2022 general election.
Speaking during the burial of senator Musila’s mother in Kitui on Saturday, Kalonzo said that he still needs Musila in Wiper Party.
Kalonzo revealed that he has not replied to Musila’s resignation letter tendered early this month.
“I am asking my brother senator Musila to rescind his resignation and return to Wiper Party because I need him and the party needs him as we focus on August 8 polls and the 2022 general election,’ he said.
Kalonzo said that Wiper is Musila’s home and that he will not be comfortable if the senator is out.
Musila resigned as Wiper chairman and also ditched the party after he was floored in the nomination for the Kitui governor seat.
The senator claimed that he was rigged out in the Wiper nominations alleging that Kalonzo had favored governor Julius Malombe.
Musila announced that he will be seeking the governor seat as an independent candidate.
The senator has exuded confidence of unseating governor Julius Malombe on August 8.
