Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma has called on political aspirants in the county, to deceased from violence and politics that will antagonise locals. 

He said he has been in the lead to ensure peaceful coexistence in the lakeside city, and will not allow anyone to bring disharmony. 

The ODM governor asked all August 8 elections aspirants to campaign in a Constitutional manner, and keep in mind, that there is life after elections. 

"I don't need animosity between our supporters. Where there is animosity, there's no peace,'' he said after a Church service at Redeemed Church, Kisumu. 

He noted he strived to make Kisumu the best city not only in Africa, but across the globe, whereby it was named the 40th best destination in the world, and fastest growing city in Africa. 

"I have struggled to make Kisumu city the best city for investors. We recently received an award as the World number 40 destination for investment, because of the peaceful coexistence we have,'' he told journalists, Sunday. 

Ranguma who seeks re-election, further called on residents to vote peacefully when the time comes, and avoid before lured by selfish politicians.
