Speaking at Machakos town on Thursday, Musyoka said that the rising political temperatures in the country call for dialogue.

She noted that dialogue will create a conducive environment for the government to forge forward in terms of development.

“I support calls for dialogue between the government and leaders from other sectors. Time has come for leaders to put aside their pride and work on issues facing the country,” she said.

Musyoka added that dialogue should involve the church, the civil society, the private sector and not the government and Cord alone.

She asked leaders both in government and opposition to tone down their utterances saying they will fuel more animosity among Kenyans.

Musyoka also said that the country is trading on dangerous road if something is not done in regard to tribalism, corruption and nepotism.

At the same time, she condemned Tuesday’s chaos where deputy governor Bernard Kiala was attacked at Machakos Level Five hospital over the health workers strike.

Musyoka said it is not right for leaders to iron out their differences in public.

She called for tolerance among politicians saying that their focus should be on uniting the people.
