Nyakach MP Aduma Owuor has confirmed his support for the leadership of Kisumu County governor Jack Ranguma.
MP Aduma said unity is needed to propel development in the county adding that much negative talks in the county will only stagnate development as other areas prosper.
“It is us who should develop this county and not to be seen as fighting the current leadership, I have not attacked our Governor Ranguma or any other leader in the county,” said MP Aduma.
He said Kisumu County is the ‘Headquarters’ of the Luo community and must set a good example in terms of development and proper leadership to other areas.
MP Aduma said that he has never confronted Ranguma on issues noting that his stand does not mean that the governor is perfect.
He said that there are ways to iron out issues affecting the county and not to come out and castigate the leadership of Governor Ranguma.
Speaking in his constituency when he accompanied the Governor, MP Aduma said there is need for total unity among the leaders of the county.
The MP said differences on ideologies should not be misconstrued to political witch-hunt noting that he will continue supporting Governor Ranguma.
“As an MP I may not agree with what Ranguma is doing and as the governor, he may not agree with what I am doing but there are better ways to come to a common ground on issues and not confront each other on issues,” said MP Aduma.
