One of his die-hard fans from Zimbabwe could not let his once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the opposition leader go by and nothing would stop him. 

Rukudzo Kahlari traveled for over 230 kilometers from Harare to Buhera just to meet the opposition icon. 

"I traveled 230 kilometers from Harare to Buhera just to see this man called Raila Odinga yesterday," read Rukudzo's tweet. 

The thrilled young man described the opposition leader as a great democratic figure in Africa. "What a giant of democracy in Africa. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Zimbabwe chief," 

Rukudzo was not the only Zimbabwean excited to see Raila, the opposition leader was received with a huge applause from the mourners who seemed to be excited to see the influential leader. 

Raila Odinga left the country on Monday, February 19 in the company of his daughter and later joined by Kisumu Governor, Anyang' Nyong'o to attend the burial of his longtime friend and Zimbabwe opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai. 

A report indicated that thousands of Zimbabweans gathered on Tuesday, February 20 to bid farewell to opposition veteran Morgan Tsvangirai who succumbed to Colon cancer. 

Thousands of opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) supporters jammed the usually sleepy village among them Political foes and allies.

Zimbabweans climbed into treetops and onto bus carriers in a heavy downpour on to give opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai an emotional burial in his rural home of Buhera.
