Kenyan athletes need someone who knows their story and struggles.
This is according to Sports CS nominee Rashid Achesa.
Saying that he is the right man for the job, Achesa said that he was well versed with the plight of Kenyan athletes and that he would quickly move in to help solve these problems.
"I will create the academies by collaborating with county governments," he said to the committee chaired by Speaker Justin Muturi.
"I understand the challenges that young sportswomen and men go through in this country," he added.
"What I can assure Kenyans is that through the skills that I have acquired through my experience, I will inject the same skills to make sure that the sports docket is turned around."
