A former Northeastern security and administration overseer interdicted just after the 2015 terrorist attack at Garissa University College is now demanding that the government gives him back his job.
According to Musa Yego, who was Garissa CID boss, he was victimised for something that was beyond his power and that the government should reward him for the service that he has offered the nation by giving him sis job.
Yego was among nine other security and administrative chiefs from the region who were sacked for failing to prevent the April 2nd , 2015 terrorist attack. The former officers have now sued the National Police Service and the Inspector of Police.
Yego says he joined the police service and has served there since 1981, adding that his interdiction had left him without source of livelihood for two years.
He adds that he has been given any explanation from the employer or even the IG himself.
Through his personal lawyer Nelson Mutai, the former CID boss has denied having played any responsibility during the fateful terrorist attack or even being negligent in delivering functions assigned to his office.
