Former nominated Senator Beatrice Elachi now says that she predicted the ongoing troubles within opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA).
In an interview on Radio Citizen Sunday, the Nairobi County Assembly Speaker revealed that she warned the alliance founder Musalia Mudavadi of his awaiting woes in the hands of opposition supremo Raila Odinga.
Elachi said that she advised the former Deputy Prime Minister against joining forces with his former boss, based on his history of political betrayal.
"Mudavadi had the liberty to avoid the embarrassment he has been subjected to by Odinga's lieutenants. I warned him that the same would he happen should he again join Odinga but he rubbished my concerns," she said.
"I told him to form a separate coalition and seek allegiance with other politicians and now it has cost him," she added.
Mudavadi and his opposition co-leaders Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka have since hit out at Odinga and his party for overlooking them, in a move that is likely to further strangle the shaking union.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader has also accused the veteran politician's quarters of disrespect, for branding them cowards after snubbing his January 30 mock presidential inauguration.
The trio was also tagged traitors for skipping the controversial oath taking.
